The doorbell rang with a hollow sound that reverberated through the marble floor. My fox perked its ears as it felt the low rumble of the doorbell as it paraded its melody through the house. It jumped down from the couch like Saharan royalty, and landed on the floor with the grace of water as it falls gently from the heavens. As it walked down a hallway its paws collided against the marble floor lightly tapping it like rain against a windowpane. I heard a benign clawing on my door. When I opened my door I saw my beloved pet poised for the trip to the front door. As we walked, its tail swayed side to side like a playful kitten in anticipation of what's behind the door. When I reached the handle I felt a strange sense of deja vu. The front door cracked open slowly to allow the sun to flow in and grasp at the internal workings of my fortress. My eyes soon adjusted to the drastic change in light and I see a young man from the National Postage System delivering my cadaver.
