I am from the land of knowledge,
A desired automatism,
For assimilation of unbequeathed erudition,
If you wish to know,
Let its eddies entomb you,
I am from the land of orange satin,
Where the sun dances upon the wings of rainbows,
And glistens through a mid summers day
If you wish to stand out
Make your self fain and laudatory,
I am from the land of incalescent eddies,
Surrounding a long forgotten dream,
A dream unseen, like a masterful tailor's seam,
If you wish to be inexpugnable,
Prepare to lose more than you gain,
I am from the land of gevalts perpetuated by gewgaw,
Its presence is etiolation
I aservate its repugnance
If you wish to stand out,
Be your ingenerat self
As the day becomes pervious to the night
Winged fowl screech and dart through the viscid nimbus enshrouding the day
Invidious trees reach snarled hands outstretched in sagaciousness
Invectives intumesce in an inanimate barrage
But all is as all was
Ars poetica eterne
GOODNESS GRACIOUS EDDIE POET OF THE YEAR OH LORDY LORDY LORDY LORDY. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EMOTIONAL! YOU HAVE GREAT VOCABULARY! I WISH I WAS YOU! :(
ReplyDeleteYour word play is excellent
ReplyDeleteI don't know what any of those words mean.. So you get a 10/10 from me.
ReplyDeleteI like the imagery when you said " where the sun dances upon the wings of rainbows, and glistens through mid summers day"
ReplyDeleteI like that you said "if you wish to stand out, be your ingenerat self"
ReplyDeleteI liked the first line when you said you were from the land of knowledge.
ReplyDeleteEddie,
ReplyDeleteYou truly have a gift for diction and pronunciation. I think anyone else's attempt at this would have been met with stumbling through the pronunciation yet you didn't hesitate on anything. Well done.
I liked all the big words even though I didn't really understand them. I also liked the tone.
ReplyDeleteThis was very good, but I couldn't understand most of the words. Maybe use context clues to help explain what they mean. Otherwise this seems well written.
ReplyDeleteNot a single word, your diction was nice like how you used words like viscid that no one knows the meanings of.
